Description
Large power hardware rarely fits on a bench. UPS cabinets, solar converters and heavy industrial drives often need probing in place, with the scope several meters away. So the Tektronix TIVP02L IsoVu probe targets that need. It is an optically isolated differential voltage probe with 200 MHz bandwidth and a 10 m fiber, read on a TekVPI oscilloscope.

Long reach at 200 MHz
The TIVP02L shares its 200 MHz bandwidth with the TIVP02. However, its fiber runs 10 m rather than 2 m. That extra length also gives room to route the cable around a cabinet or out of an enclosure. If you need more speed at that distance, the TIVP05L and TIVP1L offer 500 MHz and 1 GHz.
Field and factory uses
For example, drive engineers can study gate signals inside a cabinet during commissioning. Likewise, energy storage integrators may check converter nodes on a full system. Test teams in heavy equipment plants could also use it on traction or crane drives. For each job, plan the fiber route before you start.
Checking the Tektronix TIVP02L IsoVu probe ratings
Differential range changes with the tip you fit. Over the supported configurations, it runs from ±5 V to ±2500 V, and the highest value needs a high-attenuation tip. The TIVP family also states up to ±60 kV common-mode under manufacturer conditions. Even so, frequency and safety derating set the real limit for your setup. Manufacturer listings give TIVPMX10X as the standard tip reference.
Quote and supply
Lost in HCM rents and sells the TIVP02L, and it arranges service on request. For instance, rent it for a commissioning trip or a site investigation. Then again, buy it if your service team works on large drives every month. To request a quote from Lost in HCM, list the scope model, signal speed, both voltages and the distance from the node to the scope. Also take a look at our oscilloscope probes, visit Tektronix, or contact SMK Vietnam. Follow the manufacturer’s manual and ratings on every site with the Tektronix TIVP02L IsoVu probe.
Questions on the TIVP02L
Is there a faster long-fiber option?
Yes. The TIVP05L offers 500 MHz and the TIVP1L offers 1 GHz, both with 10 m of fiber.
What scope does the TIVP02L need?
A TekVPI oscilloscope with compatible firmware. Also confirm your model with Lost in HCM.
Does the photo show this exact model?
It is a TIVP series reference photo. It may show a different bandwidth or cable length.
