Description
A probe head cannot always sit right on the pin you need. A tall capacitor, a shield can or a connector shell may stand in the way. The Rohde & Schwarz RT-ZA6 leads bridge that gap. This lead set holds five 6 cm leads and five 15 cm leads. So the probe can stay clear while a thin wire reaches the node.

Two lengths, two habits
Start with the 6 cm lead whenever it reaches. A short signal and ground path is the better habit for fast signals. Then keep the 15 cm leads for awkward spots, such as a node deep inside a chassis.
Because the set holds five of each length, one board session rarely runs out. In addition, a spare lead is ready when one bends or breaks.
Probes listed for the Rohde & Schwarz RT-ZA6 leads
The R&S accessory listing covers two probe families:
- Active single-ended: RT-ZS10, RT-ZS10E, RT-ZS20 and RT-ZS30.
- Active differential: RT-ZD10, RT-ZD20 and RT-ZD30.
So one set can serve a mixed bench. Still, confirm your probe model and revision before you order.
A look at the photo
The R&S product photo shows ten flexible black leads in two lengths. Each lead ends in a right-angle gold pin, with a slim black sleeve at the far end. Our source gives no rating for the leads themselves, so follow the manufacturer’s manual and ratings for the probe you use.
