Description
On a long debug job, you often return to the same few nodes again and again. A tip that you can attach and detach fast saves real time there. The Rohde & Schwarz RT-ZMA15 tip is the quick-connect probe tip module for the R&S RT-ZM modular probe system. In plain terms, it is the front-end contact part that links a board to an RT-ZM amplifier. R&S lists it at over 12 GHz and under 37 ps, with P/N/DM/CM modes.

How the quick-connect tip looks
The R&S product photo shows the module fitted to the front of an RT-ZM amplifier head. Two thin grey leads run forward from a blue strain relief. At the far end, a blue sleeve holds a tiny board with a small square socket. So the contact point sits well away from the bulky amplifier body, which helps on crowded boards.
Where the Rohde & Schwarz RT-ZMA15 tip helps
The name points to a connection you can make and break quickly. For example, a bring-up team might move one amplifier between several prepared points during a shift. A test lab could also leave the board in a fixture and swap the scope channel between nodes. Even so, R&S does not describe the attach method in detail on the page we read. Therefore, confirm how the socket mates with your board before you plan the setup.
Four modes, one hookup
Like most RT-ZMA modules, this one lists P/N/DM/CM modes. R&S says its multimode function switches between single-ended, differential and common mode views without moving the tip. As a result, one connection can show each leg, the pair and the common mode.
Matching tip and amplifier
Lost in HCM’s listing names RT-ZM modular probe amplifier modules as the compatible probes. Note that R&S rates the amplifiers on their own, from over 3 GHz on the RT-ZM30 to over 13 GHz on the RT-ZM130. Thus, match the tip figure and the amplifier figure to your signal.
Request a quote
Lost in HCM rents and sells this tip module and arranges service on request, while SMK Vietnam only lists it. Share the amplifier and scope models, how many tips you need and the project dates. Then request a quote from Lost in HCM. Related parts appear in the oscilloscope probes category, and R&S lists the full system on its RT-ZM product page. For listing questions, contact SMK Vietnam. Keep to the manufacturer’s manual and ratings when you connect it.
RT-ZMA15 questions
How is it different from the RT-ZMA14?
R&S lists the RT-ZMA14 as a flex-connect solder-in module at over 16 GHz. The RT-ZMA15, by contrast, is the quick-connect module at over 12 GHz.
Does it come with an amplifier?
No. The Rohde & Schwarz RT-ZMA15 tip is a module only, so order an RT-ZM amplifier as well if you lack one.
Can I rent several for one project?
Yes. Tell Lost in HCM the quantity and dates, and they will quote the set.
