Description
A high-end scope and a general-purpose probe do not always speak the same language. The Rohde & Schwarz RT-Z1M adapter bridges that gap on R&S RTP oscilloscopes. In R&S terms, it is a high-impedance buffer amplifier, so “adapter” on this page means that buffer module. Through it, the RTP can also take passive, current and high-voltage probes.
Three jobs in one module

Many lab tasks still call for a classic probe, even on a top-class scope. For example, an engineer may need to check a slow supply rail next to a fast data line. With the Rohde & Schwarz RT-Z1M adapter, both jobs stay on one RTP. In addition, the built-in DC voltmeter lets you read a DC level without a separate meter on the bench.

The R&S product photo shows a white module with a BNC socket at one end and a grey release lever on top. In addition, its label carries the R&S logo, the model name, the text 1 MOhm Adapter and a maximum input voltage warning. Follow that label, the manufacturer’s manual and ratings whenever you connect a probe.
