Description
Battery pack lines in Vietnam join cells with busbars, and each busbar screw carries current as well as clamp load. A loose screw adds resistance, so the joint can heat up under load. The Snap-on TQSSC6FUA torque driver helps pack engineers measure those screws on a dial. It is a stubby Torqometer driver that pairs a dual U.S./metric dial with a follow-up needle.

Busbar and terminal work for the Snap-on TQSSC6FUA torque driver
Pack builders for e-scooters, energy storage and backup power share many similar joints. For example, module busbars, BMS sense leads and pack terminal posts all carry a torque value on the drawing. With this driver, a technician turns the screw to that value, then reads the held peak. As a result, each joint gets a number on the pack traveler. In addition, the short body fits between modules where a long driver cannot reach.
TQSSC6FUA figures from Snap-on
| Item | TQSSC6FUA |
|---|---|
| Model type | Stubby follow-up (2 needles) |
| Length | 5-1/4 in |
| Range | 90 kg·cm / 75 in-lb |
| Increments | 3 kg·cm / 5 in-lb |
| Handle | 1/4 in internal square drive |
| Case | PB47 storage case |
These values come from the combination US/Metric driver table in catalog CAT1500i. That table also says the drivers in it do not include a certificate. To order one, Snap-on adds a C to the stock number.
The square drive in the TQSSC6FUA handle
Snap-on marks this size as having a 1/4-inch internal square drive in the handle. So you can fit a short socket adapter or bit holder for hex and Torx heads. However, keep the stack short, because a long, wobbly adapter makes the needle less steady.
Choosing the TQSSC6FUA range
Snap-on rates the standard grade within 2% of reading from 20% of full scale upward. On this dial, that means about 15 in-lb or 18 kg·cm up to the top of the scale. That top value is roughly 8.8 N·m, which covers many small busbar screws. For lighter sense-lead screws, the TQSSC4FUA at 50 in-lb / 56 kg·cm reads finer. Then again, large pack terminals may need a torque wrench instead.
Safety around live packs
A battery module stays live even when the pack is off, so electrical safety comes first. The listing gives no insulation rating for the TQSSC6FUA. Therefore use it only where your pack safety rules allow a standard tool, and cover nearby terminals. Also zero the needle before each screw and keep the Snap-on TQSSC6FUA torque driver in its PB47 case.

Battery pack FAQ
Does the TQSSC6FUA come with a certificate?
No, the base code ends without a C. Snap-on offers a certificate version when you add a C, so ask Lost in HCM about it.
How do I convert 90 kg·cm to N·m?
Multiply by about 0.098. So 90 kg·cm is close to 8.8 N·m.
Why choose a stubby driver for packs?
Modules often sit close together under a lid frame. A 5-1/4 inch body leaves more room for your hand than a full-length driver.
