Description
Light joints punish coarse tools. A wrench that jumps in 5 N·m steps cannot hit 22 N·m on the nose. The Snap-on TQFRN68B torque wrench moves in 2 N·m increments instead. It is a 3/8″ drive TQ series flex-head click wrench with a 14-68 N·m range.

Fine 2 N·m steps for light joints
Most targets between 14 and 68 N·m fall on an even number, so you rarely need to interpolate. In addition, the whole scale sits inside Snap-on’s accuracy band, because that band begins at 20% of full scale. Twenty percent of 68 N·m is about 13.6 N·m, just under the first mark. Therefore every setting on the TQFRN68B is a rated setting.

Metal handle and flex head
Snap-on notes that the 3/8″ wrenches in its N·m table have metal handles. So the TQFRN68B shrugs off oil and solvent on a workshop bench. Meanwhile, the flex head lets you reach around brackets and hoses. Avoid forcing it against its stops, though, because that can damage the joint.
Typical work for the TQFRN68B
- Valve covers, intake parts and sensors on engines.
- Motorcycle and scooter fasteners in service workshops.
- Gearbox covers, pump housings and small flanges.
68 or 130 N·m?
If most of your values sit above 50 N·m, the TQFRN130B gives more headroom. For anything under 25 N·m, however, stay with this model.
