Description
Three shifts sharing one tool crib can lose track of who used which wrench. The Snap-on TQFR100CG torque wrench offers a simple fix: a green finish that you can assign to one shift or one department. Behind the color sits a 3/8″ drive TQ flex-head click wrench with a 20-100 ft-lb range.

Shift and department coding with green tools
Say the day shift owns red tools and the night shift owns green ones. At handover, each lead counts only their own color, so gaps show up fast. Departments can also follow the same idea. For instance, maintenance might hold the green TQFR100CG wrenches, while production keeps the red pool. That way, a torque audit can trace each reading back to the right team. Calibration due dates also become easier to track per group.

Where the green TQFR100CG fits
This range suits mid-size fasteners such as those on conveyors, gear motors, pumps and vehicle brakes. Because the head flexes, it reaches bolts behind guards and brackets. The TQ split-beam element replaces the heavy coil spring of many click wrenches, so fewer parts wear out. However, it only measures clockwise, so keep another tool for left-hand threads.
Pick the right drive
If your work tops out near 100 ft-lb, the 3/8″ TQFR100CG suits it well. Above that, however, a 1/2″ TQ model with a 40-250 ft-lb scale gives more room. For small screws with in-lb specs, look at the TQFR50C instead.
