Description
Hospitals, universities and pharma QC labs in Vietnam rely on fume hoods and biosafety cabinets every day. Service teams open those units for filter changes, blower checks and sash repairs, and then close them up again. The Snap-on TESI10L torque wrench gives them a number for each small screw and nut. It is a Torqometer dial in newton meters, and a lamp flashes when the set torque arrives.

Working through a sash opening
A technician often reaches into the cabinet through a narrow sash gap. Meanwhile, the dial may face away from his eyes. So a light that flashes at the target is easier to catch than a moving needle. After the flash, he can tilt the wrench and read the dial for the service sheet. The TESI10L keeps both habits in one compact tool.

Cabinet jobs for the Snap-on TESI10L torque wrench
- HEPA filter clamp and frame screws, where the cabinet maker gives a value.
- Blower housing and motor bracket fixings.
- Sash guide, counterweight and hinge screws.
- Baffle and work tray fasteners inside fume hoods.
Filter seals in particular need even pressure, so follow the maker’s sequence. Then use the TESI10L to bring each clamp to the same value.
Small numbers, steady band
Lost in HCM places this wrench in its Newton Meter Reading/Standard 2% Accuracy group. Snap-on holds that grade to 2% of reading from 20% of full scale upward. Thus the TESI10L band starts at 2 N·m and runs to 10 N·m. If a manual quotes inch-pounds, 10 N·m is about 88.5 in-lb.
Clean-room habits for the TESI10L
Decontaminate the cabinet first, and follow your lab’s biosafety rules before any panel comes off. Also wipe the wrench with a lint-free cloth before it goes back in its PB9 case. Snap-on gives a 0 to 100 °F operating range, so keep it away from autoclaves. Do not use it to free a seized screw, and schedule recalibration at regular intervals.

Lab service FAQ for the TESI10L
Is the TESI10L’s 10 N·m enough for cabinet work?
For most filter, hinge and bracket screws, yes. Check each value in the service manual before you start.
Does the TESI10L read in-lb?
No. It sits in Snap-on’s Newton Meter Reading table, so the dial reads N·m only.
Does the TESI10L lamp change the reading?
No. The lamp only signals the target. The needle still shows the torque on the dial.
