Description
Rice and sugar cane farms in the Mekong Delta work their machines hard through each harvest. Tractors, combine harvesters and rice mills vibrate all day, and many of their manuals come from Japanese makers that print torque in kg·m. The Snap-on TEC352A dial torque wrench reads that unit directly, next to ft-lb, on one Basic dial. So a dealer workshop can follow the book without a conversion chart.

Harvest machine joints that suit the TEC352A
Snap-on gives this wrench a 3/4-inch square drive and a full scale of 350 ft-lb or 50 kg·m. That covers many mid-size joints on farm gear, for example:
- Wheel and rim nuts on compact and mid-size tractors.
- Axle housing and front loader frame bolts.
- Header and feeder frame bolts on combine harvesters.
- Motor base and huller frame bolts in rice mills.
Always take the value from the machine maker’s manual. Then pick the scale that matches its unit.

Reading the TEC352A inside its 2% band
Snap-on’s torque brochure states that a Standard 2% Torqometer reads within 2% of the reading from 20% of full scale up to full scale. On the TEC352A, that band starts at about 70 ft-lb or 10 kg·m. Below that point, a smaller 1/2-inch dial gives a truer reading. Meanwhile, the 10 ft-lb and 1 kg·m steps make mid-scale values quick to spot.
Looking after a farm workshop wrench
Dust, chaff and wet mud find their way into every corner of a harvest workshop. So wipe the TEC352A after each job and return it to its PB39 case. Snap-on lists an operating range of 0 to 100 °F, which is about -18 to 38 °C. Therefore keep it out of a parked truck cab in the midday sun. In addition, never use it to break loose a rusted wheel nut. Snap-on also notes that periodic recalibration keeps the dial accurate, so book it with an outside lab on a set cycle.
Buying a TEC352A for a dealer workshop
Lost in HCM, the SMK Vietnam partner, supplies this wrench to dealers, farms and mills across Vietnam. Ask for a price and lead time when you request a quote from Lost in HCM. This plain code carries no certificate in its title. However, Snap-on’s catalog states that certificate of calibration versions are available, so tell Lost in HCM which papers you need. Snap-on TEC352A dial torque wrench FAQ
Can I read a kg·m spec without converting it?
Yes. The dial carries a kg·m scale in 1 kg·m steps beside the ft-lb scale.
Will the needle stay at the highest value?
No. The TEC352A is a Basic model with one needle, so it drops back when you let go. Read the value while you pull.
Will it fit between a tractor wheel and the fender?
Check first. Snap-on lists the TEC352A at 29-7/8 inches, or about 759 mm, so measure the swing room before you start.
