Description
On an assembly line, the same screw often gets the same torque hundreds of times a day. The Snap-on QTSP135 limiting driver suits that rhythm. In fact, Snap-on presets it at the factory, and its clutch slips once the set torque arrives. So the operator cannot keep turning and strip the joint.

What a limiting driver does
A torque limiting driver has a clutch between the handle and the drive. Below the set value, the clutch locks and turns the screw. Then, at the set value, it lets go and the handle spins free. As a result, the tool caps the torque instead of only showing it. For that reason, Snap-on calls the QTSP135 an ideal choice for assembly work where the same requirement stays constant.

Name your torque when you order
Snap-on states that the user must give the desired torque when ordering. So take the value for your Snap-on QTSP135 limiting driver from the drawing or work instruction first. Then pass it on with the quote request. Also, if one cell uses two screw values, plan two drivers and mark each one clearly.
Changing the setting later
Still, the setting is not locked for life. According to Snap-on, a torque tester lets you reset the QTSP135 to a new value or readjust it for accuracy. Therefore a plant with its own tester can reuse the driver when a product changes.
Good fits for the QTSP135
- Terminal and cover screws on electrical assemblies.
- Fixed-value screws in appliance and electronics lines.
- Small brackets and clamps in automotive sub-assembly.
For jobs where the value changes often, however, the adjustable QTS135 makes more sense.
