Description
A 3/4 in tube nut on brass or aluminum can lose its corners well before it reaches a firm value. A ring that pushes on all six flats spreads the load and keeps those corners intact. The Snap-on QJRXS24A flare nut head does that through a slotted 6-point ring on a J shank (0.425 in). It passes over the tube, seats on the nut and lets a light J body finish the joint.

Space around the nut
Three numbers decide whether the QJRXS24A fits a crowded spot. First, its outside diameter is 1-1/4 in, so it needs about 5/8 in of room from the nut center. Second, the head depth is 1/2 in. Third, QJRXS heads sit 2.50 in from the retaining pin to the fastener center. Because QD bodies assume a constant spacing, they read this head straight from the scale.
Why no rating appears for the Snap-on QJRXS24A flare nut head
CAT1500i and the UK Torque Brochure print different maximum values for this J head. Since we cannot tell which one is current, this page states neither. Lost in HCM confirms the limit with the quote. By contrast, both sources agree on the Y version, the QYRXS24A, at about 104 ft-lb. So a firm steel fitting at 3/4 in may suit that Y head better.
A 3/4 in ring on a 19 mm nut
Three-quarters of an inch works out to 19.05 mm, only 0.05 mm over a 19 mm hex. So a metric 19 mm nut sits in the QJRXS24A with almost no play. Even so, Snap-on makes the metric QJRXSM19A for J bodies, and it remains the cleaner match on metric lines. Keep the inch head for inch fittings where you can.
A compressor job for the Snap-on QJRXS24A flare nut head
Consider an air compressor package built to US drawings, with 3/4 in tube nuts on its oil cooler lines. The nuts sit behind a guard, and the tube blocks any socket. So the technician slides the Snap-on QJRXS24A flare nut head over the line and fits it to a QC2I75 body. That body adjusts in 0.5 ft-lb steps from 5 to 75 ft-lb. Keep the setting at or below the head limit from Lost in HCM, then pull steadily to the click.
Pricing the QJRXS24A
SMK Vietnam lists the QJRXS24A for its partner, and Lost in HCM supplies it and writes the price. Also include the J body model and the fitting value for the QJRXS24A job. The QJRXS24A listing at Lost in HCM takes the request from there. Other J rings sit under torque wrench heads and adaptors, or you can contact SMK Vietnam.
