Description
Small fasteners fail quietly. A loose sensor nut can leak, while an over-tight board screw can crack a part. The Snap-on ATECHMS80MK electronic driver measures each turn and tells the user when to stop. It is the kit version of Snap-on’s TechAngle electronic screwdriver with a 1/4 in square drive. Its scale runs from 4 to 80 in-lb, or 0.45 to 9 N·m.

Square drive or hex: the ATECHMS family
Snap-on lists six TechAngle screwdriver models on page 337 of CAT1500i. The F versions take 1/4 in hex bits, while M versions use a 1/4 in square drive. Both 80 in-lb versions come as a tool only or as a kit. Meanwhile, the MS100 models read 5 to 100 in-oz for very light work. The ATECHMS80MK is the square-drive kit, so choose it when your jobs use small sockets.

Four ways to know you hit the target
The ATECHMS80MK alerts through its LCD, an LED, a tone and vibration. As a result, an operator can feel the signal on a noisy line. The LED steps through approaching, target and over-torque states, so the user slows down before the final turn. In addition, the overload indication flags any pass beyond the setting.
Keep targets above 16 in-lb
Accuracy is tightest from 20 to 100% of full scale. On the 80 in-lb ATECHMS80MK, that band starts at 16 in-lb. Below it, down to 4 in-lb, the tolerance widens to ±4% CW and ±6% CCW. So a 10 in-lb spec still works, but with a looser margin. For joints under about 6 in-lb, the 5 to 100 in-oz models keep you nearer the top of their scale.
Jobs for the Snap-on ATECHMS80MK electronic driver
Typical 1/4 in square jobs include TPMS valve nuts, sensor brackets and small covers in car plants. In electronics, the same tool suits board standoffs and terminal screws on control panels. Also, the angle mode helps where a spec calls for torque then angle.
Kit contents, care and checks
Snap-on also lists the MSTECHHDL electronic driver L-handle on the same page. The partner data says the ATECHMS80MK kit includes it, so confirm the contents in your quote. Between jobs, keep the driver in its packaging, away from solvents and heat. Then watch for the calibration alert. Snap-on warns users not to exceed rated torque or break fasteners loose, and it calls for periodic recalibration.
Ordering the ATECHMS80MK kit
Lost in HCM supplies this kit and prepares each quote; SMK Vietnam lists it as a partner product. Tell them your target torques and the drive you need. Then ask Lost in HCM for an ATECHMS80MK quote. Other drivers sit under torque screwdrivers, or you can contact SMK Vietnam.
