Description
On many Japanese and German machines, a 22 mm hex marks an M14 nut. The Snap-on QJOM22A open end head brings that size to a J-shank (0.425 in) torque wrench, the lightest body in the Snap-on system. So it suits low-torque 22 mm jobs where a socket cannot reach.

M14 across standards
DIN 934 and older JIS tables give M14 nuts a 22 mm hex. By contrast, ISO 4032 uses 21 mm. Therefore, a plant with mixed machines may hold both sizes. Measure across opposite flats before you order the Snap-on QJOM22A open end head, because a 22 mm jaw slips on a 21 mm nut.
Light J bodies for the Snap-on QJOM22A open end head
The QD2IN50A and QD2IN100A weigh about 2.3 lb and run 14-1/2 in long. They read 10 to 50 N·m and 20 to 100 N·m, and each one includes a calibration certificate. If you prefer ft-lb, the QC2I75 adjustable and the QC2P75 preset both cover 5 to 75 ft-lb. In short, every J body stops at or below 75 ft-lb.
Figures to confirm before you order
CAT1500i and the UK torque brochure print different maximum working torques for this head. They also differ on its width and depth. So we leave all three out of the QJOM22A data rather than risk a wrong setting or a clearance mistake. The pin spacing is clear, though: 2.50 in from the fastener center, as on every QJOM head. Lost in HCM can confirm the rest with your quote.
Snap-on QJOM22A open end head on fittings and adjusters
A 22 mm hex also turns up on hydraulic fitting nuts, sensor bodies and lock nuts on threaded adjusters. For example, a technician can torque a pressure switch on a manifold while the nearby hose stays in place. Similarly, a jam nut on a guide rail adjuster takes the jaw from the side. For specs above the J range, step up to the QYOM22A or the QXOM22A.

22 mm J-shank FAQ
Will the QJOM22A fit an ISO M14 nut?
Not well. ISO 4032 gives M14 a 21 mm hex, so this jaw would sit loose. Check the nut standard first.
Is a preset J body a good fit for line work?
Yes. The QC2P75 holds one value, so each operator gets the same click. Note that CAT1500i lists preset bodies without calibration certificates.
Will a Y-shank QD3IN200B accept the QJOM22A?
No. That body has a Y shank. The QJOM22A needs a J body.
