Description
On SMT lines and test benches, small fittings fail by stripping, not by snapping. The Snap-on QJOM11A open end head gives 11 mm parts a firm upper limit on a J-shank (0.425 in) torque body. Because it slides on from the side, it reaches tube nuts and sensor lock nuts that a socket cannot cover.

Small fittings that suit the Snap-on QJOM11A open end head
An 11 mm hex turns up on small pneumatic tube nuts, sensor lock nuts and some fixture hardware. ISO 4032 also gives the M7 nut an 11 mm hex, although M7 is rare on machines. So electronics plants in Bac Ninh and Hai Phong may use the Snap-on QJOM11A open end head on pick-and-place feeders, fixtures and air lines. First, measure the part, because 10 mm and 11 mm flats look alike at arm’s length.
Both Snap-on books agree on the QJOM11A limit
In CAT1500i, the QJOM11A row shows a 33 ft-lb maximum recommended working torque. The UK brochure prints 400 in-lb, which equals about 33.3 ft-lb. That puts the ceiling near 44.7 N·m. In addition, both books give a head of about 23 mm across and roughly 6 mm deep, with the pin 2.50 in from the fastener center.
J bodies against the 33 ft-lb ceiling
| J body | Scale | Can it pass 33 ft-lb? |
|---|---|---|
| QC1P300 preset | 60-300 in-lb | No |
| QC1I200 adjustable | 40-200 in-lb | No |
| CTECH1J240A electronic | 1.0-20.0 ft-lb | No |
| QD2IN50A dual scale | 9.2-35.0 ft-lb | Only the top 2 ft-lb |
| QC2P75, QC2I75 | 5-75 ft-lb | Yes, cap it |
So the in-lb bodies and the CTECH1J240A can never overload the QJOM11A. With the QD2IN50A, stop at 33 ft-lb, which leaves almost the whole dial in play.
Handling a slim 11 mm jaw
A thin jaw spreads if someone uses it to crack a stuck nut. Snap-on warns against that, so loosen with a plain spanner first. Also keep the QJOM11A square to the flats, since a tilted jaw grips only the corners. Then store it in a tray, away from heavy heads.
Quote route for the Snap-on QJOM11A open end head
SMK Vietnam lists this small head, and Lost in HCM supplies it and writes the quote. Request a quote from Lost in HCM and include your J body and the joint value. Larger jaws sit under torque wrench heads and adaptors, while contact SMK Vietnam helps with a quick fit question.
Line engineers ask about the QJOM11A
Which J bodies accept the QJOM11A?
All the J bodies in the Snap-on table. Only the 6, 7 and 8 mm jaws carry a footnote that ties them to the QC1P100 and QC1I200.
Can I use the QJOM11A on a 7/16 in hex?
No. A 7/16 in hex is about 11.1 mm, so it will not seat in an 11 mm jaw. Snap-on lists the QJO14A for that inch size.
Is there an 11 mm jaw for Y bodies?
No. Both catalogs show the 11 mm size in J only. The metric Y jaws start at 14 mm.
