Description
Big sockets on big bolts need a strong, simple head. The Snap-on CTLNK4R600 torque wrench uses a fixed 3/4-inch drive head for 30 to 600 ft-lb. As a ControlTech Link wrench, it also logs each pull and can join a plant data system.

Fixed head or Z shank?
Snap-on also sells the same range in two forms. This model has a fixed 3/4-inch square drive, so any 3/4-inch socket fits straight on. The CTLNK4Z600, on the other hand, takes Z-shank interchangeable heads. So choose the fixed head when sockets do the job. However, pick the Z shank when you also need open-end, box-end or pipe heads. In addition, a fixed head skips the separate head purchase, which keeps the quote simple.

What the Link name covers
Link refers to Snap-on’s wireless system. A Link wrench talks to the CTLNKCTRL controller, which can pass data on to a plant MES. The controller can also stand alone, both for data collection and for process control. On the wrench itself, sequence programming and a time-stamped trail come built in. Meanwhile, a backlit LCD, LED lights, a beep and handle vibration tell the user when to stop.
