Description
The Snap-on CTECH2MR1200 torque wrench takes the 5-100 ft-lb span of a full-size 3/8 inch ControlTech and packs it into the shorter Micro body. As a result, it fits under dashboards, inside machine frames and between close-set parts where a long wrench cannot swing.

Micro body, mid-size range
Snap-on lists the CTECH2MR1200 at 15.4 inches and 1.6 lb. For comparison, the standard CTECH2FR100A covers the same range at 17.2 inches and 2.7 lb. So the Micro saves 1.1 lb and 1.8 inches. In addition, Snap-on gives it steel construction and a gyroscope for drop protection, so the small size does not mean a fragile tool.
Where the CTECH2MR1200 accuracy band changes
Snap-on rates the Micro at ±2% clockwise and ±3% counterclockwise from 20 to 100% of full scale. Below that, from 5 to 19%, the band widens to ±4% and ±6%. On this model, 20% of 1,200 in-lb equals 240 in-lb, or 20 ft-lb. Therefore, for joints well below 20 ft-lb, consider a smaller Micro such as the CTECH2MR240.

Line-side features for FOD-sensitive plants
Aerospace and electronics plants work hard to keep foreign object debris off the line. So the CTECH2MR1200 hides its USB port behind a sliding FOD-proof cover. Also, a real-time clock reminds the team when calibration falls due. Meanwhile, torque and angle presets, saved jobs and three kinds of feedback (lights, beep and vibration) keep each operator on target.
