Description
Modern engines often call for a torque step followed by a set angle, such as 30 ft-lb plus 90 degrees. The Snap-on ATECH2FS100 torque wrench handles both steps with one tool. It is a 3/8-inch drive TechAngle electronic wrench with a sealed flex head, and it covers 5 to 100 ft-lb.

Torque, then angle, without a gauge
Older methods used a click wrench plus a separate angle gauge. However, that setup is slow and easy to misread. Snap-on’s torque-then-angle mode lets the user tighten to torque and then switch to angle without lifting the wrench. So the ATECH2FS100 keeps the process in one smooth motion.
Snap-on rates angle at ±1% of reading, ±1 degree, over a 0-360° range. That accuracy applies within the angular speed limits Snap-on publishes.
Jobs for the Snap-on ATECH2FS100 torque wrench
- Cylinder head, main and rod bolts on engine rebuilds.
- Generator set and compressor overhauls.
- Gearbox and axle covers in fleet workshops.
- Brake and suspension joints on motorbikes and cars.
Why the flex head helps
Engine bays and machine frames often block a straight pull. Thanks to the sealed flex head, the handle can clear hoses and brackets. In addition, the 2% TechAngle line includes gyro compensation, which corrects for tilt when the head sits flexed.
Key figures
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Drive | 3/8 in, sealed flex head |
| Range | 5-100 ft-lb (60-1,200 in-lb) |
| Metric range | 6.8-135 N·m |
| Ratchet | 80 teeth, 4.5° swing |
| Torque accuracy | 2% CW, 3% CCW |
These figures make the ATECH2FS100 a good match for mid-size engine and chassis fasteners.
Care in the workshop
Wipe oil off the ATECH2FS100 grip and display after each job. Then remove the battery before long storage. Avoid using it as a breaker bar, because a hard shock can affect the sensor. Finally, book the wrench in with an outside calibration lab on a fixed cycle.
