Description
Field service vans and heavy equipment bays are hard on tools. Grit, fuel and steel drawers can scuff a bright chrome finish fast. The Snap-on ATECH2F125VR torque wrench answers with a Red/Black look and a black PVD coat over chrome. Underneath, it is a 3/8-inch drive TechAngle flex-head wrench for 5 to 125 ft-lb.

What the PVD coating adds
PVD stands for physical vapor deposition. Snap-on calls the coat on the ATECH2F125VR tough and non-scratch, and it sits on a chrome base. As a result, the tool keeps a clean look after rough use. A dark finish also hides wear marks better than bright chrome. Still, the coating changes the look, not the accuracy.
Built for service work
For service crews, the ATECH2F125VR adds a heavy-duty yoke with more steel mass. Snap-on also tightened the fit between the ratchet tang and the yoke, so the head still indexes smoothly up to 15 degrees. In addition, a smaller gap at the yoke cuts pinch points for fingers. Power interruption technology keeps work in progress if the tool drops, which helps on a multi-bolt pattern.

Field kit tips
Pack the ATECH2F125VR in its PBATECH100B case, not loose in a drawer. Carry spare AA cells too, because a remote site may not stock them. Then check the reading on a tester when the crew gets back to base.

Red/Black version FAQ
Is the ATECH2F125VR housing red?
Snap-on names the finish Red/Black, while its spec table lists a black housing on a chrome body. Ask Lost in HCM for a photo if the colour split matters.
Can I tighten to torque and then to angle without lifting the tool?
Yes. Torque-then-angle mode moves from the torque step to the angle step while the socket stays on the fastener.
Does the range suit tire work?
Snap-on notes that 5 to 125 ft-lb covers many common jobs, and it names passenger tires among them.
