Description
Many radio products work below 3 GHz. The Tektronix RSA603A spectrum analyzer covers 9 kHz to 3 GHz with a 40 MHz real-time window, in a compact case for bench and system use. A USB 3.0 link and SignalVu-PC on a computer complete the setup.

A compact analyzer for the bench
The RSA603A belongs to the RSA600 series. It sits beside a device under test or inside a test system, because it takes little room. Because it has no display of its own, the connected computer shows the traces and handles the controls. So plan the host computer as part of the kit.
What the 3 GHz range reaches
Low-band radio links, such as 2.4 GHz radios, sit inside the range. For example, a radio near 2.4 GHz can sit beside unrelated noise in the same capture. So do unwanted emissions from boards and spurious components. Spectrum and spectrogram views then show how occupancy changes over time. Signals above 3 GHz fall outside the tuning range, however.
Setting up a clean measurement
- First, read the input power and DC limits in the manual.
- Next, insert an attenuator or DC block when the source needs one.
- Then connect USB 3.0 to a computer running SignalVu-PC.
- Confirm optional licenses and the tracking generator in the quote.
Buy for the lab or rent for a project
A Tektronix RSA603A spectrum analyzer suits radio bring-up, product pre-scans and teaching labs. Lost in HCM lists it for rental and sale, and it arranges service on request. Rent it for a defined test campaign. However, buy it when the whole team shares it daily.
Please request a quote from Lost in HCM with your frequency range, signal levels and accessories. Other spectrum and signal analyzers sit in the same category. Questions about the listing? Please contact SMK Vietnam. Check the datasheet on the Tektronix website.
Tektronix RSA603A spectrum analyzer questions
Does 3 GHz cover 5 GHz radios?
No. Signals above 3 GHz fall outside the tuning range, so choose a model with a higher range for those.
Which computer do I need?
You need a compatible external computer running SignalVu-PC over USB 3.0. Check the software requirements, and do not assume one ships with the analyzer.
Is the tracking generator standard?
It is optional. Therefore ask Lost in HCM which configuration the offered unit has.
