Description
Setting up an in-house torque lab means matching an indicator, transducers and a loader that all work together. The Snap-on VERSATEST600 calibration system solves that by shipping them as one kit. It covers torque wrench testing up to the loader’s 600 ft-lb capacity.

What comes in the VERSATEST600 kit
| Part | Role |
|---|---|
| VERSATEST indicator | Lab-grade display, memory and statistics unit |
| VERSA600LDR loader | Table-top wrench loader with safety shield |
| TTC12 transducer | Measures applied torque |
| TTC400 4-in-1 transducer | Covers several ranges in one body |
| TTC5000-1 adaptor plate | Mounts the 4-in-1 transducer on the loader |
Snap-on lists this content in its torque brochure. Even so, ask Lost in HCM to confirm the current kit list in your quote.
Why a loader makes a difference
Pulling a big wrench by hand adds human error, especially near the top of the range. The VERSA600LDR applies the load through a large hand wheel instead, so the force builds smoothly. In addition, a safety shield protects the operator if a tool slips. Four cushion pads also keep the loader steady on the bench.
Snap-on says the loader takes dial, micrometer, beam and electronic torque wrenches. An optional kit lets it test torque screwdrivers too.
Inside the Snap-on VERSATEST600 calibration system
- Indicator accuracy of ±0.25% of reading at 25 °C with TTC transducer calibration.
- Track, Peak Hold, First Peak and Power Tool modes.
- Storage for 3,000 readings plus built-in SPC.
- Smart transducers that tell the indicator their range.
Is this kit right for you?
The kit suits plants that own many click and dial wrenches and want fast turnaround. For example, automotive, heavy equipment and power companies often run such a bench in their quality lab. On the other hand, a small workshop may only need a simple digital tester.
Running the bench well
Install the kit in a clean room with a steady temperature. Then write a short procedure for each wrench type, so every technician tests the same way. Also send the indicator and transducers for periodic calibration at an outside accredited lab.
