Description
Flange leaks at power plants and refineries often trace back to uneven bolt loads. The Snap-on VERSA4S600A torque sensor lets a crew measure each pull instead of guessing. This 3/4-inch drive sensor covers 60 to 600 ft-lb and feeds a Versatorq 2 meter.

Built for plant bolting
Energy sites run pumps, heat exchangers and pipe flanges with large studs. Because those joints carry pressure, many owners now ask for a torque record per bolt. The VERSA4S600A fits that job, since a technician can use it with an ordinary breaker bar. Then the meter captures the peak of each pass around the pattern.
A longer cord for big bars
Snap-on fits this model with a 96-inch coiled cord, twice the length of the smaller sensors. As a result, the meter can stay on a belt clip or a safe ledge while the bar swings. That also keeps the display out of the way of hands and tools.
How the Snap-on VERSA4S600A torque sensor measures
The sensor works in line, between the drive tool and the socket. So it feels the full twist the stud receives, without any lever math. In Track mode the meter shows the load as it climbs. Peak mode, however, freezes the highest figure, which suits final passes on a flange.
Hazardous areas
Refineries and gas plants often limit electronics in the field. Snap-on describes the Versatorq 2 meter as intrinsically safe, with ATEX and UL approval. Even so, the zone rules at your site decide. Ask Lost in HCM to confirm the ratings against your permit before you take the VERSA4S600A into a classified area.

Flange crew FAQ
How long is the VERSA4S600A cable?
Snap-on lists a 96-inch coiled cord for this model.
Does it need a separate meter?
Yes. The sensor only measures, while the Versatorq 2 meter displays and stores the readings.
Can I swap it with other sensors on one meter?
Yes. One Versatorq 2 meter can work with sensors across the range, so you can pair this unit with a smaller one.
