Description
Not every plant needs a motorized calibration bench. Instead, a smaller tool crib can get solid results with a hand-crank loader and a good readout. The Snap-on TTC610 digital indicator is that readout for Snap-on’s manual TTC2000 system. It shows the torque, holds the peak and keeps a record of each test.

How a TTC2000 bench works with the Snap-on TTC610 digital indicator
The TTC600 mechanical loader holds the wrench and applies load as the operator turns the crank. Meanwhile, a TTC transducer measures the torque and sends it to the TTC610. Because the crank does the pulling, the wrench sees a smooth, steady load instead of a jerky arm pull. Snap-on’s brochure lists the TTC610 as the torque tester for this system.
Linking results to a PC or printer
First, Snap-on offers a TTC501 cable that connects the TTC610 to a PC and a TTC502 cable for a printer. In addition, the system ships with serial (RS232C) and analog outputs as standard. So a QA team can move readings into its own records instead of copying them by hand. On top of that, each stored result carries a date and time, with room for 3,000 values.
What you can test on a TTC2000
- Click, dial and electronic torque wrenches.
- Torque screwdrivers and multipliers.
- Nutrunners and electric or air screwdrivers, using Power Tool mode.
- Cable tensiometers and force gauges, with the right fixtures.
Snap-on notes that the TTC2000/TTC2800 design came out of a contract with the US Air Force. That history also explains why a TTC610 bench covers so many tool types.
Accuracy to expect
If nobody has calibrated the TTC transducers against this unit, the brochure rates the system at ±0.5% of reading at 25 °C. Add TTC transducer calibration, and the figure tightens to ±0.25%. Therefore, plan your transducer calibration around the result you need.
Is the Snap-on TTC610 digital indicator right for you?
So choose the TTC610 if you run, or plan to build, a manual TTC2000 bench. The Snap-on TTC610 digital indicator is also a sensible spare for a lab that cannot afford downtime. However, if you test large volumes every day, compare it with the TTC810 for the motorized TTC2800 system.
