Description
Most wrench fleets cluster in the small and mid sizes. Testing them usually means swapping transducers all day. The Snap-on TTC400 4-in-1 transducer cuts those swaps. It packs four ranges and three drive sizes into one unit, from 4 in-lb up to 250 ft-lb.

Four ranges in one TTC400 body
Snap-on’s UK brochure breaks the unit into these sections:
| Drive | Range |
|---|---|
| 1/4 in | 4-50 in-lb |
| 3/8 in | 30-400 in-lb |
| 3/8 in | 80-1,000 in-lb |
| 1/2 in | 20-250 ft-lb |
So one transducer covers screwdriver-size wrenches, common 3/8 in click wrenches and most 1/2 in shop wrenches. As a result, the technician moves the wrench, not the sensor.
Benches that use the Snap-on TTC400 4-in-1 transducer
Snap-on ships the TTC400 inside the VERSATEST600, TTC2000SYS and TTC2800SYS systems. On the TTC600 manual loader, the TTC800 motorized loader and the VERSA600LDR2, it needs the TTC5000-1 adaptor plate. For a table setup, Snap-on also lists the TTC34325 4-in-1 table mounting bracket. Therefore, check which mount your bench needs before you order.
Smart memory
Snap-on says each of its transducers carries a memory chip that identifies it and holds its calibration. The indicator reads that chip, so it knows the range without manual setup. In addition, the catalog states that TTC transducers come individually serialized with a NIST-traceable calibration certificate. Confirm the paperwork for your unit with Lost in HCM.
Where the TTC400 does not fit
- Force testing: Snap-on says force kits work only with single transducers, not the TTC400.
- Large wrenches: above 250 ft-lb you need a single unit such as the TTC12 or TTC14.
- Very small tools below 4 in-lb: smaller TTC transducers start at 5 in-oz.
Choosing it over single transducers
Pick the Snap-on TTC400 4-in-1 transducer when most of your wrenches fall between 1/4 in and 1/2 in drive. However, a lab that tests mostly large tools may get more from single units sized to its fleet. Many benches run both: the 4-in-1 for daily volume and a TTC12 or TTC14 for the heavy end.

TTC400 transducer questions
Which drive sizes does the TTC400 have?
Snap-on lists 1/4 in, 3/8 in and 1/2 in drives, with two separate 3/8 in ranges.
Do I need an adaptor plate?
Yes, on the TTC600, TTC800 and VERSA600LDR2 loaders Snap-on calls for the TTC5000-1 plate.
Can I use it with the force testing kits?
No. Snap-on says force testing needs a single transducer, so the TTC400 cannot do it.
