Snap-on TTC2620 Compression Gauge Kit for Checking Push Gauges on TTC600 and TTC800 Loaders

The Snap-on TTC2620 compression gauge kit adds push-gauge checks to a Snap-on TTC torque bench. It works with the TTC force arm kit and a single TTC transducer. Lost in HCM supplies it.

Description

Push gauges sit on many assembly lines. Operators use them to check button feel, clip insertion and press-fit force. The Snap-on TTC2620 compression gauge kit lets the same lab that checks your torque wrenches check those gauges too. It turns a TTC loader into a press that pushes on the gauge while a reference transducer reads the true load.

How a compression check works with the TTC2620

First, the gauge goes into the fixture with its tip against the load path. Next, the loader pushes in small steps, while the TTC indicator shows the reference force. Then the technician compares the gauge reading with the indicator at each step. If the gap grows past your tolerance, the gauge goes for adjustment or repair. In short, the bench gives you a number for every gauge instead of a guess.

What you need with the Snap-on TTC2620 compression gauge kit

  • A TTC600 manual or TTC800 motorized loader, since Snap-on says these can deliver compression loads.
  • A TTC610 or TTC810 indicator, which also stores and analyzes force readings.
  • The TTC26302 force arm kit. Snap-on lists it beside the gauge kits as the shared arm hardware.
  • A single TTC transducer in the right range, because force testing cannot use the TTC400 4-in-1.

Also ask Lost in HCM to list the exact kit contents in your quote, since Snap-on does not print them.

Picking a reference range for TTC2620 tests

Choose a transducer whose range covers the top of the gauge scale. However, avoid one so large that the gauge reads near the bottom of it. For example, a small push gauge will read more cleanly on a lighter transducer than on a 2,000 ft-lb unit. The indicator can show force units such as lbf, N and kp, so match the unit on the gauge face.

Where this kit pays off in Vietnam

Electronics and auto parts plants often run dozens of push gauges across shifts. Sending each one out takes time and leaves stations without a gauge. So an in-house check between outside calibrations keeps lines running and catches drift early. The Snap-on TTC2620 compression gauge kit also keeps force records in the same indicator memory as your torque tests.

Snap-on TTC2620 compression gauge kit FAQ

Does the TTC2620 work on its own?

No. It extends a TTC bench. Plan for a TTC600 or TTC800 loader, a TTC610 or TTC810 indicator, the force arm kit and a single transducer.

Can I use my TTC400 transducer for compression tests?

Snap-on says force testing cannot use the TTC400 4-in-1 transducer. So pick a single TTC transducer instead.

Is the TTC2620 the same as the tension kit?

No. Snap-on lists the TTC2610 tension gauge kit as a separate part for pull gauges.
