Description
Some labs already own a shelf of TTC transducers. Others want to pick each range to suit their own wrench fleet. For both, the Snap-on TTC2000 torque tester makes sense. It is the core of Snap-on’s manual master bench: a hand-crank loader plus a digital indicator, with the sensors bought to suit.

TTC2000 or TTC2000SYS: what changes
Snap-on’s UK brochure lists the TTC2000 components as the TTC600 mechanical loader, the TTC610 digital indicator and a roller cabinet. It also lists the sensors as a separate purchase. The catalog’s TTC2000SYS, by contrast, bundles a full starter set.
| Item | TTC2000 | TTC2000SYS |
|---|---|---|
| TTC600 loader and TTC610 indicator | Yes | Yes |
| TTC400, TTC12 and TTC14 transducers | No, choose your own | Yes |
| TTC5500-1 extension arm and TTC5000-1 bracket | No | Yes |
| WedgeLink software and download cable | No | Yes |
So the Snap-on TTC2000 torque tester fits a lab that wants to reuse transducers or spread the spend. However, ask Lost in HCM to confirm the exact package and cabinet before you order.
Inside the Snap-on TTC2000 torque tester
The brochure says the TTC600 comes with an indicator stand, a torque pin, a protective shield, a small transducer adaptor and a power cord. Its footprint is 45 in wide, 24 in deep and 9.5 in high, so plan a long bench. Meanwhile, a hand crank turns at most 8 ft-lb of input into up to 2,000 ft-lb at the loader.
Indicator features from the catalog
- Range of 5 in-oz to 2,000 ft-lb, both directions, with TTC smart transducers.
- Total uncertainty of ±0.25% of indicated torque from 10% to 100% of range.
- Track, Peak, First Peak and Power Tool modes, plus an optional angle encoder.
- Memory for 3,000 values with date and time, and a low-profile serial printer.
- RS232C port, analog output and automatic lock-up to protect the transducer.
Building a sensor set for the TTC2000
Start from your wrench list. For example, small screwdrivers and 1/4 in wrenches need a light transducer, while truck wrenches need a 1 in unit. Then fill the gaps with the TTC series ranges that Snap-on lists from 5 in-oz up to 2,000 ft-lb. Note that the TTC400 4-in-1 needs the TTC5000-1 adaptor plate on the TTC600 loader. Later, Snap-on’s optional kits can add tensionmeters, force gauges and non-impact power tools.
Quotes for the TTC2000
