Description
Big torque wrenches need a tester that can absorb their full output. The Snap-on TTC14 torque transducer covers that end of the scale. It has a 1 in square drive and reads from 200 to 2,000 ft-lb, which is the highest range in Snap-on’s TTC series.

Monitors and loaders for the Snap-on TTC14 torque transducer
Snap-on states that its TTC2000, TTC2800 and Versatest monitors work with TTC transducers up to 2,000 ft-lb. In addition, each transducer carries a memory chip, so the monitor identifies it and keeps its calibration data. The loader matters just as much, though. The TTC600 manual loader and the TTC2800 motorized loader both reach 2,000 ft-lb. By contrast, the Versatest kit ships with the VERSA600LDR2, a 600 ft-lb loader. So a Versatest bench needs a stronger loader before it can use the upper part of the TTC14 range.
Snap-on also packs the TTC14 into its complete TTC2000SYS and TTC2800SYS systems. Buying it alone suits a bench that lacks a high-range sensor, or a lab that needs a spare.
TTC14, TTC13 or TTC12?
Snap-on quotes system accuracy from 10% to 100% of full scale. For the TTC14, therefore, the accurate band starts at 200 ft-lb. Use that rule to choose:
- TTC12: 3/4 in drive, 60-600 ft-lb.
- TTC13: 1 in drive, 100-1,000 ft-lb.
- TTC14: 1 in drive, 200-2,000 ft-lb.
If most of your wrenches stay under 1,000 ft-lb, the TTC13 covers them and reaches lower. However, wrenches above 1,000 ft-lb need the Snap-on TTC14 torque transducer. Both 1 in sensors share the TTC15002 bracket, so one mount serves either.
Running a 2,000 ft-lb sensor safely
High loads demand a rigid set-up. First, bolt the TTC15002 bracket to a solid bench, because any flex adds error. Next, line the wrench up square to the drive and load it smoothly. Also never exceed the rated torque of the TTC14. The TTC systems lock up on overload, yet that is a safeguard rather than a limit to rely on. Finally, follow Snap-on’s advice on periodic recalibration checks.
Order the Snap-on TTC14 torque transducer
Lost in HCM supplies the TTC14 and prepares the quote, while SMK Vietnam lists it. Mention your monitor and loader models, so they can confirm the match. Snap-on says TTC transducers ship serialized with NIST-traceable certificates; ask Lost in HCM what comes with your unit. Then request a TTC14 quote from Lost in HCM. Related benches sit under torque testers and calibration systems, and you can contact SMK Vietnam about set-up questions.
TTC14 questions
Can a Versatest bench use the TTC14?
The Versatest monitor reads TTC transducers up to 2,000 ft-lb. However, its standard VERSA600LDR2 loader stops at 600 ft-lb.
What is the lowest torque the TTC14 checks accurately?
Snap-on states accuracy from 10% of full scale, which is 200 ft-lb for this sensor.
Which bracket holds it on a bench?
Snap-on lists the TTC15002 bench top mounting bracket.
