Description
Snap-on builds its complete Versatest, TTC2000 and TTC2800 kits around a few core sensors, and the Snap-on TTC12 torque transducer appears in each one. It reads 60 to 600 ft-lb, about 81 to 813 N·m, on a 3/4 in drive. That makes it the workhorse sensor for large click and electronic wrenches.

Systems that already include the TTC12
- VERSATEST600: Versatest monitor, VERSA600LDR2 loader, TTC400 and TTC12.
- TTC2000SYS: manual loader and cabinet, with the TTC400, TTC12 and TTC14.
- TTC2800SYS: motorized loader and cabinet, with the same three transducers.
So most buyers add a loose TTC12 for a second bench or as a spare. It also fills the gap on a monitor that someone bought on its own.
Reading the 60-600 ft-lb band
Snap-on quotes the TTC2000 at ±0.25% of indicated value from 10 to 100% of full scale. For the Snap-on TTC12 torque transducer, 10% of 600 ft-lb comes to exactly 60 ft-lb. In other words, the whole printed range sits inside that window. Below 60 ft-lb, the TTC11 takes over with 20-250 ft-lb on a 1/2 in drive. Above 600 ft-lb, the TTC13 and TTC14 move up to a 1 in drive.
Wrenches to check on the Snap-on TTC12 torque transducer
Take the CTECH4R600A, a 3/4 in ControlTech wrench that spans 30-600 ft-lb. Test points at 20, 60 and 100% fall at 120, 360 and 600 ft-lb, and all of them suit the TTC12. However, its bottom setting of 30 ft-lb lies under the TTC12 range. So check that end on the TTC11 instead. The same logic applies to any 3/4 in wrench: list its test points first, then match each one to a sensor.
Bracket, loaders and set-up for the TTC12
Snap-on pairs the TTC12 with the TTC3422 mount, which holds units from 10-125 ft-lb up to 60-600 ft-lb. On the Versatest side, the VERSA600LDR2 loader tops out at 600 ft-lb, so it matches the TTC12 full scale. By contrast, the TTC600 manual loader delivers up to 2,000 ft-lb from an 8 ft-lb crank input. Each transducer also carries a memory chip that identifies it. As a result, the monitor knows the TTC12 as soon as you connect it. Never exceed the rated torque, as Snap-on warns.
Requesting a Snap-on TTC12 torque transducer from Lost in HCM
SMK Vietnam lists the TTC12, while Lost in HCM supplies it and issues the quote. Name your monitor or system, plus the largest wrenches you test. With those details, ask Lost in HCM to price a TTC12 for your bench. Related parts sit in torque testers and calibration systems, and you can contact SMK Vietnam too.
TTC12 bench questions
Can the TTC12 check a 1/2 in drive wrench?
Only through a stepped adaptor, and only above 60 ft-lb. For most 1/2 in wrenches, the TTC10 or TTC11 suits better.
Does the Versatest loader cover the full TTC12 range?
Yes. Snap-on rates the VERSA600LDR2 to 600 ft-lb, the same as the TTC12 full scale.
Which bracket holds the TTC12?
Snap-on lists the TTC3422 bench top mount, which it also gives for the TTC10 and TTC11.
