Description
Wheel nuts, suspension joints and machine base bolts need a longer handle and a stronger drive. The Snap-on TQFRN350E torque wrench covers them with a 1/2″ drive and a 60-350 N·m scale. It is a TQ series click-type wrench with a flex ratchet head, so it also reaches bolts behind frame members.

Heavy joints, 1/2 inch drive
The TQFRN350E scale moves in 5 N·m steps, which suits its larger values. In ft-lb terms, it spans roughly 44-258 ft-lb. As a result, it covers wheel nuts on cars and light trucks, engine mounts, and anchor bolts on pumps and fans. For anything above 350 N·m, though, move up to a 3/4″ drive wrench. Also, a fleet workshop can pair it with a 3/8″ model for small fasteners.
Where the TQFRN350E accuracy band starts
Snap-on rates TQ wrenches within ±4% of any clockwise setting from 20% of full scale. On a 350 N·m wrench, that point is 70 N·m. So keep regular targets above 70 N·m, and ideally in the middle of the scale. For lighter joints, in contrast, a 3/8″ TQ model gives better resolution. In addition, the TQ split-beam design avoids a heavy coil spring, so there are fewer parts to wear.

Working safely with a flex head
- Pull at the handle grip, square to the wrench, for a true reading.
- Do not force the head against its flex stops.
- Never use the wrench to break a fastener loose.
- Clean and oil the ratchet lightly, then store the TQFRN350E in its case.
Snap-on also advises recalibration every six months, or more often under heavy use. Therefore, log the due date on the case so the next check is never missed.

TQFRN350E FAQ
What is 350 N·m in ft-lb?
About 258 ft-lb. The low end of 60 N·m is about 44 ft-lb.
Why do some Snap-on tables show a different minimum?
Snap-on documents list the lowest setting as 60 or 70 N·m. Either way, the accuracy guarantee starts at 70 N·m, so plan your work above that.
Can it tighten left-hand threads?
No. The TQ series measures clockwise torque only.
