Description
Container chassis and semi-trailer builders in Vietnam ship thousands of units to ports and haulers at home and abroad. Every trailer carries heavy joints on its suspension, axles and landing legs. The Snap-on TESI800FUAC torque wrench lets a final inspection team read those joints in newton meters, on a two-needle dial. Its listing also comes with a calibration certificate.

Trailer joints for the Snap-on TESI800FUAC torque wrench
- Suspension hanger, equalizer and torque arm bolts.
- Axle U-bolt nuts, checked to the axle maker’s value.
- Landing gear leg and crank bracket bolts.
- Fifth wheel mounting bolts on tractor units that the same shop services.
Wheel nuts may also fall inside the dial, depending on the hub system. Even so, use the wheel maker’s value and pattern, and keep the TESI800FUAC as the check tool at the end of the line.

Snap-on prints the base code TESI800FUA in its Newton Meter Reading table. The catalog then states that a C at the end of the stock number orders the certificate of calibration model. So the TESI800FUAC is the C version, and the Lost in HCM title confirms the certificate.
Final inspection with two needles
Snap-on’s Follow-up models show targeted torque and torque achieved on separate needles. That suits an end-of-line audit, because the inspector can pull a sample bolt and then read both values calmly. Next, the reading goes on the trailer’s build sheet beside its VIN. In addition, the certificate with the Snap-on TESI800FUAC torque wrench gives QA a document to file with its tool register.
Grade and band on the TESI800FUAC
Lost in HCM lists this wrench under Newton Meter Reading/Standard 2% Accuracy. That grade, as Snap-on defines it, keeps readings within 2% from 20% of full scale up to the top. On an 800 N·m dial, that band begins at 160 N·m. So for light bolts on mud flaps, lamps and tool boxes, choose a smaller Torqometer.
Yard care for the Snap-on TESI800FUAC torque wrench
Trailer yards mean dust, paint overspray and rain. Keep the wrench in its PB39 case between checks, and wipe it before it goes back. Also never use it to break a rusted nut loose. Then schedule recalibration with an outside lab, as Snap-on calls periodic recalibration necessary for accuracy.
