Description
Vietnam now brings in liquefied natural gas through new import terminals, and more projects sit on the drawing board. Each site runs pumps, vaporizers, valves and long pipe racks that need routine bolt checks. The Snap-on TESI500FUAC torque wrench gives the maintenance crew a 500 N·m dial with two needles. In addition, the listing names a calibration certificate.

Where the TESI500FUAC fits on an LNG site
- Pump base and motor mount bolts in the sendout area.
- Actuator bracket and yoke bolts on ambient valves.
- Pipe shoe, clamp and support bolts on racks.
- Skid frame bolts on metering and analyzer houses.
Cryogenic flanges and pressure joints, however, follow the site’s own bolting procedure. That plan may call for tensioners, set patterns or other tools. So treat the TESI500FUAC as one tool within it, not a substitute for it.
Catalog row behind the Snap-on TESI500FUAC torque wrench

The figures above come from the TESI500FUA row in Snap-on’s Newton Meter Reading/Standard 2% Accuracy table. That table also says certificate models carry a C added to the stock number. Therefore the TESI500FUAC is the C version, and the Lost in HCM title confirms the certificate.
Two needles for permit-to-work records
LNG sites run on permits, and each job closes with a signed record. With the Snap-on TESI500FUAC torque wrench, one needle marks the targeted torque while the second shows the torque achieved. So the technician can read the peak after the pull and write it on the permit. Meanwhile, the certificate gives the tool its own document for the audit file.
Cold surfaces and the 2% band
Lost in HCM files this wrench under Newton Meter Reading/Standard 2% Accuracy. Snap-on sets that grade at plus or minus 2% of the reading, starting at 20% of full scale. For the TESI500FUAC, that band begins at 100 N·m. Also note that Snap-on lists an operating range of 0 to 100 °F for its Torqometer line. So keep the wrench off frosted pipe, and store it in a dry room between jobs.
Care and recalibration
Carry the TESI500FUAC in its PB39 case between work fronts. Never use it to break loose a seized nut, and never pull past its rated torque. Snap-on adds that periodic recalibration is necessary to keep accuracy. Plan that with an outside lab before each major shutdown.

LNG crew questions about the TESI500FUAC
What is 500 N·m in ft-lb?
About 369 ft-lb. The TESI500FUAC dial reads newton meters only, so convert U.S. specs first.
Can it work on cryogenic flanges?
Only where the site’s bolting procedure allows a torque wrench. Also keep it within Snap-on’s 0 to 100 °F operating range.
Who issues the certificate?
The listing names a calibration certificate but not its issuer or contents. Ask Lost in HCM for those details with your quote.
