Description
Most torque wrenches in a plant sit between a light screwdriver range and heavy flange work. The Snap-on TBTT100A torque transducer covers that middle band on the TBT600A horizontal bench tester. Snap-on prints its range as 5-100, and the Lost in HCM listing gives that in ft-lb. So a QA team can check the bulk of its click wrenches on one sensor.

TBTT100A specifications
- Range: 5-100 ft-lb (about 6.8-136 N·m)
- Resolution: .01 ft-lb, 1 in-lb, 2 in-oz, .01 N·m, .001 kg-m, 1 kg-cm
- System: one of three transducers in the TBT600A
Middle of three: where the Snap-on TBTT100A torque transducer fits
The TBT600A ships with three transducers. The TBTT16A handles 7.5-200 in-lb for small wrenches and drivers. At the other end, the TBTT600A reads 30-600 ft-lb. The TBTT100A, meanwhile, bridges the two. Because its band overlaps both, you can test a wrench near either edge on the sensor that keeps it closest to mid-scale.
Wrenches that land on the TBTT100A
Snap-on’s QC2I75 body reads 5-75 ft-lb, so its whole scale fits this transducer. Likewise, the QD2IN100A dual-range body runs 16.6-71.9 ft-lb. Many 3/8 and 1/2 in click wrenches in automotive and electronics plants fall in the same band. For example, a tool crib can often check most of its daily wrenches without swapping sensors.
Reading results with the TBTT100A
The TBT600A display shows ft-lb, in-lb, in-oz, N·m, kg-m and kg-cm. In addition, it offers peak hold and first peak hold. Peak hold suits electronic and dial wrenches. First peak, by contrast, catches the moment a click wrench breaks over. So pick the mode before the pull, then compare the reading with the wrench setting.
Protecting the Snap-on TBTT100A torque transducer
Never pull past 100 ft-lb, because Snap-on warns against exceeding the rated torque. Also mount the wrench square and pull smoothly, since side load can upset the result. Finally, keep the transducer on its own recalibration schedule.
Ordering the TBTT100A
Lost in HCM supplies the transducer and the full TBT600A, and SMK Vietnam lists both. Share the ranges of the wrenches you test, so they can confirm the right sensor. Then request a TBTT100A quote from Lost in HCM. You can also see torque testers and calibration systems or contact SMK Vietnam.
TBTT100A questions
Which wrenches suit the TBTT100A?
Wrenches set between roughly 5 and 100 ft-lb, such as a QC2I75 or QD2IN100A body, fall inside its range.
What resolution does it give in N·m?
Snap-on lists .01 N·m, and .01 ft-lb on the ft-lb scale.
Should I test a 150 ft-lb wrench on it?
No. Use the TBTT600A for that, because Snap-on warns never to exceed the rated torque.
