Description
Test stands and service rigs often route steel lines so tightly that a wrench swings only a few degrees. The Snap-on RTWH60YSL flare nut head ratchets inside that arc, so it never leaves the 15/16 in nut. First, its slotted 12-point ring passes over the tube. Then the Y-shank (0.560 in) body carries the load through to the click.

One code in the catalog and on the quote
CAT1500i prints this exact code in its ratcheting flare nut table, in the Y column at 15/16 in. So your purchase order can carry the same number your engineers see in the catalog. The data sheet also cites Boeing ST2599 compliance, and metric sizes come on special order. Snap-on gives no maximum working torque for this table, however.
4.43 in from pin to nut
Ratcheting Y heads sit 4.43 in from the retaining pin to the fastener center. Solid QYRX and QYRXS rings, by contrast, sit at 3.00 in. That extra reach changes what a click body reads at the nut. A ControlTech CTECH2Y100A stores a calibration factor for head length, so it handles the gap for you. For a QC or QD body, ask Lost in HCM for Snap-on’s setting method first.
Test-stand work with the Snap-on RTWH60YSL flare nut head
On a hydraulic test stand, the same fittings come off and go back on every shift. Each cycle means many turns on the nut, often in a cramped spot behind the manifold. Here the ratchet earns its place, because the ring stays seated for the whole run-down. Then, for a firm final value, a solid ring can finish the joint. At 15/16 in, CAT1500i lists the QYRXS30A and QYRX30A, both rated at 146 ft-lb on a Y body.
Ratchet care between shifts
- Blow out the ring after work near cutting fluid or grit.
- Turn the ring by hand and feel for any skip or drag.
- Store it apart from solid heads, so the slot edges stay sharp.
- Never use it to free a seized fitting, since Snap-on warns against that.
Where to get the Snap-on RTWH60YSL flare nut head
SMK Vietnam lists this head for Lost in HCM, which supplies it and prepares the quote. Include the Y body model, the nut size and the target value. With those ready, request a quote from Lost in HCM. Sister sizes are grouped under torque wrench heads and adaptors, and you can contact SMK Vietnam with other questions.
RTWH60YSL ordering points
Is there a J-shank ratcheting head at 15/16 in?
No. In CAT1500i the J column ends at 7/8 in, so 15/16 in and larger come on the Y shank only.
Does the RTWH60YSL have a published torque limit?
Snap-on prints none for its ratcheting flare heads. So confirm the allowed value with Lost in HCM before a high final setting.
Can I run the RTWH60YSL on a QD3IN200B?
It locks into that Y body. However, its 4.43 in reach differs from the spacing QD heads assume, so get Snap-on’s setting method first.
