Description
Nuts this large tend to live on heavy plant, such as press tie rods, cylinder glands and big anchor studs. The Snap-on QZOM65A open end head puts a 65 mm metric jaw on a Z-shank (0.990 in) torque wrench. So you can reach a hex that a socket cannot cover, for example on a nut threaded onto a long rod.

M42 hardware and the 65 mm opening
Both ISO 4032 and DIN 934 give the M42 nut a 65 mm hex. As a result, the QZOM65A fits M42 lock nuts, tie-rod nuts and threaded collars. It also suits large hydraulic parts that carry the same hex. However, an open jaw grips only two flats. Therefore, check the part with a caliper first, because a loose fit rounds the corners under load.
QZOM65A versus the dual-pin QZOM65ADP
Snap-on’s Industrial catalog CAT1500i shows one 65 mm head in its Z column. That entry, however, is the dual-pin QZOM65ADP, with a 480 ft-lb limit. The single-pin QZOM65A does not appear in that table or in the UK torque brochure. For that reason, this page gives no rating or head size for it. Ask Lost in HCM to confirm both figures, plus the pin style, before you place the order.
Z bodies for the Snap-on QZOM65A open end head
Only a Z-shank body accepts this head. In CAT1500i, the Z choice is the QD4IN800A, which reads 129 to 572 ft-lb, or 150 to 800 N·m. It measures 41-1/2 in long and weighs about 11 lb. Also, the QD table carries a note that one body takes dual-pin heads only. So confirm that your body accepts a single-pin QZOM65A. Snap-on adds that QD heads need no length calculation, since every Z head keeps a 5.75 in pin-to-fastener distance.
Working safely at this size
A long Z body and a wide jaw need space and a firm stance. First, slide the QZOM65A fully onto the flats, not just the tips. Then pull at a steady rate until the click, and stop there. Snap-on also warns against using these wrenches to break fasteners loose. In addition, retire any jaw that shows spread at the opening.
How to order the Snap-on QZOM65A open end head
SMK Vietnam lists this head for its partner, and Lost in HCM supplies it. Request a quote from Lost in HCM for the QZOM65A and give the hex size, the joint spec and your body model. For smaller jaws, browse torque wrench heads and adaptors, or contact SMK Vietnam with questions.
Before you order a 65 mm Z jaw
Does a 65 mm jaw fit an M42 nut?
Yes, in most cases. ISO 4032 and DIN 934 both give M42 nuts a 65 mm hex, but measure worn or painted parts first.
What torque can the QZOM65A take?
This page does not state one, because Snap-on’s sources list only the dual-pin QZOM65ADP. Lost in HCM confirms the limit with your quote.
Can I fit the QZOM65A to a Y or X wrench?
No. It has a Z shank, so it needs a Z-shank body such as the QD4IN800A.
