Description
M20 hardware holds down a lot of heavy plant, from conveyor drives to press frames. When the nut sits on a long thread, a socket will not reach it. The Snap-on QZOM30ADP open end head solves that with a 30 mm dual-pin jaw for Z-shank (0.990 in) torque wrenches.

M20 work for the Snap-on QZOM30ADP open end head
ISO 4032 and DIN 934 agree on a 30 mm hex for M20 nuts. So the QZOM30ADP fits jam nuts on tie rods, adjuster nuts on press slides and M20 lock nuts on cylinder rods. For example, a maintenance crew can torque a tie-rod jam nut without pulling the rod. Still, measure painted or worn nuts first.
413 ft-lb on a body that reads to 572
CAT1500i rates this head at 413 ft-lb. The UK brochure lists 4,950 in-lb for the 30 mm Z head, which is the same value. Its Z body, the QD4IN800A, spans 129 to 572 ft-lb, or 150 to 800 N·m. Therefore, the head limit, not the body, sets your ceiling with the Snap-on QZOM30ADP open end head.
- Keep the dial at or below 413 ft-lb, about 560 N·m.
- Seat the jaw fully on the flats before you pull.
- Pull at an even pace and stop at the click.
- Do not use the wrench to break nuts loose, as Snap-on warns.
Neighbors of the Snap-on QZOM30ADP open end head on the Z ladder
The Z rating climbs with size at this end of the table. The 29 mm QZOM29ADP carries 379 ft-lb, while the 32 mm QZOM32ADP reaches 480 ft-lb in both sources. So if a 30 mm job runs close to 413 ft-lb, no bigger Z jaw fits the same hex. In that case, review the joint spec with your engineer. Also note the QZOM30ADP size: 61 mm across and 13 mm deep.

QZOM30ADP: what buyers ask first
Will the QZOM30ADP fit a QD3IN350A?
No. The QD3IN350A takes X-shank heads. This head needs a Z body such as the QD4IN800A.
What other shanks come in 30 mm?
Snap-on also lists 30 mm jaws on the J, Y and X shanks. Each carries a lower limit than the QZOM30ADP and needs its own body.
What wrench length should I plan for?
The QD4IN800A Z body is 41-1/2 in long. So leave room for that length plus the 61 mm head when you plan the pull.
