Description
Crews that own a big Z wrench still meet plenty of M16 nuts. The Snap-on QZOM24ADP open end head lets that same Z-shank (0.990 in) body reach a 24 mm hex from the side. It is the first size in Snap-on’s Z column of metric open end heads.

The first size in the Z column
Both CAT1500i and the UK brochure start the Z open end heads at 24 mm. Below that size, you need a J, Y or X head instead. So the Snap-on QZOM24ADP open end head is the smallest jaw a Z body can take. Its head measures 49 mm across and 11 mm deep, and its pin sits 5.75 in from the fastener center.
The Snap-on QZOM24ADP open end head on M16 joints
ISO 4032 and DIN 934 both give the M16 nut a 24 mm hex. However, the QD4IN800A Z body starts at 129 ft-lb, or 150 N·m. Therefore, M16 specs below that floor need a lighter body and a matching head. For instance, the QYOM24A on a Y body or the QXOM24A on an X body covers lower values. Use the QZOM24ADP when the spec sits above the Z body’s starting point.
Two Snap-on figures for the QZOM24ADP limit
CAT1500i and the UK brochure print slightly different maximum working torque values for this head. Since they do not match, this page leaves the number out. Lost in HCM confirms the correct limit with your quote. Then set the body at or below it, because an open jaw can spread under overload.
Snap-on QZOM24ADP open end head or a lighter 24 mm jaw?
Snap-on lists a 24 mm jaw on every shank: QJOM24A, QYOM24A, QXOM24A and this dual-pin Z head. So pick the shank that matches the body you already own. In addition, match the body range to your spec, not just the hex. The QZOM24ADP makes sense mainly for crews built around the Z system.

24 mm Z-head questions
Why buy a Z head for an M16 nut?
Mainly because your crew already owns a Z body. It saves buying a second wrench system for M16 work above 129 ft-lb.
Does the QZOM24ADP fit a DIN M16 nut?
Yes. DIN 934 and ISO 4032 both use a 24 mm hex for M16. Still, measure painted nuts before use.
How wide is the QZOM24ADP?
Snap-on lists a 49 mm outside diameter and an 11 mm head depth. Check the gap beside the nut before you order.
