Large metric tube nuts on hydraulic lines often need more torque than a light wrench can give. The Snap-on QYRXSM19A flare nut head pairs a slotted 19 mm 6-point ring with a Y shank, and Snap-on rates it at 104 ft-lb. As a result, a single Y body can bring a heavy fitting to spec without a second tool.

Why choose the Snap-on QYRXSM19A flare nut head over the J model
Snap-on also lists a J-shank QJRXSM19A at the same size. However, that head stops at 60 ft-lb, which leaves a 44 ft-lb gap. So any 19 mm fitting with a spec above 60 ft-lb calls for this Y head. Below that, a J body may feel lighter in the hand.
Y bodies and setting limits for the QYRXSM19A
The QD3IN200B dual-range body reads 40-200 N·m. With this head, though, keep it at 141 N·m or less. The QC3P150 and QC3P200 preset bodies also take Y heads, so set either one no higher than 104 ft-lb. In addition, the CTECH2Y100A ControlTech wrench uses the same shank. Since the QYRXSM19A keeps the 3.00 in Y spacing, the QD body needs no length correction.

A 3/4 in nut measures 19.05 mm, so it looks almost identical. Even so, use the inch QYRXS24A on inch fittings, which Snap-on also rates at 104 ft-lb. One metric size up, the QYRXSM20A carries 113 ft-lb and measures 33 mm across. One size down, the QYRXSM18A carries 94 ft-lb.
QYRXSM19A care between jobs
Hydraulic oil and grit build up in the slot over time. Therefore, wipe the ring after each use and check the slot edges for cracks. Also store the head apart from loose sockets, so the jaw tips stay sharp. Then send the body for periodic recalibration, as Snap-on advises.
