Description
Snap-on makes a 32 mm open end jaw for all four shanks, so the real decision is the body behind it. The Snap-on QYOM32A open end head is the middle option, made for Y-shank (0.560 in) wrenches. It suits crews that need more reach than a J kit but less bulk than an X or Z kit.

What carries a 32 mm hex
DIN 934 and the older JIS nut table give M22 a 32 mm hex, while ISO 4032 uses 34 mm. In addition, 32 mm is the nut size for 18L tube in ISO 8434-1 compression fittings. So the QYOM32A finds work on older European presses and on mid-size hydraulic lines. Before ordering, find out whether your M22 parts follow DIN or ISO sizing.
Matching a Y body to the Snap-on QYOM32A open end head
| Body | Type | Range | Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| QD3IN200B | Adjustable, dual scale | 40-200 N·m (37-140 ft-lb) | 23 in |
| QC3P150 | Preset | 30-150 ft-lb | 23 in |
| QC3P200 | Preset | 40-200 ft-lb | 23 in |
All three share the Y shank, and the QYOM32A keeps its pin 3.00 in from the fastener center. CAT1500i ships the QD body with a calibration certificate, but its presets come without one.
Head limit for the QYOM32A
The maximum working torque for this head reads one way in CAT1500i and another in the UK torque brochure. Since a wrong figure could spread the jaw, we leave both out. Lost in HCM states the confirmed limit on your quote instead. Then keep the body at or below that value, and at or below your joint spec.
Clearance of the 65 mm QYOM32A
Both sources give the QYOM32A an outside size of 65 mm and a depth of 14 mm. That is broad for the hex, so look for pipes or brackets inside the swing arc. A 14 mm depth also needs enough flat height on the nut. If the part sits in a tight bay, try a plain 32 mm spanner there first.

Y-shank 32 mm questions about the QYOM32A
Will an ISO-sized M22 nut fit the QYOM32A?
No. Under ISO 4032, the M22 nut measures 34 mm. For that size, look at the QYOM34A instead.
Is the QC4P300 a suitable body for the QYOM32A?
That body has an X shank, so the answer is no. A Y head needs a Y body, such as the QC3P200.
Which Y body suits a repeat 32 mm joint on a line?
A preset, either the QC3P150 or the QC3P200, holds one value all shift. Therefore operators cannot drift from the spec.
