Description
In ISO sizing, the M22 nut carries a 34 mm hex. The Snap-on QXOM34A open end head fits that hex on an X-shank (0.735 in) torque wrench. So a maintenance crew can torque large M22 nuts on rods and studs without removing nearby lines.

ISO or DIN M22? Check first
ISO 4032 sizes M22 nuts at 34 mm, while DIN 934 and older JIS tables use 32 mm. Therefore, two machines in one plant may need different jaws for the same thread. Measure the flats before you order the QXOM34A. A 34 mm jaw on a 32 mm nut grips poorly and can round the corners.
Dimensions of the Snap-on QXOM34A open end head
- Opening: 34 mm
- Shank: X (0.735 in)
- O.D.: 68 mm
- Head depth: 14 mm
- Fastener center to pin: 4.50 in
CAT1500i and the UK torque brochure agree on these values. However, they list different maximum working torques for the head. So we omit the rating here, and Lost in HCM can confirm it.
X bodies and a 68 mm jaw
The QD3IN350A suits mixed specs, with a scale of 59 to 251 ft-lb. On the other hand, the QC4P300 preset fits one repeated value from 60 to 300 ft-lb. Either way, the QXOM34A is wide. At 68 mm across and 14 mm deep, it needs real room beside the nut. Plus, the 23 to 27 in tube must clear guards along its arc.
When to choose the Snap-on QXOM34A open end head over the Z version
CAT1500i also lists a QYOM34A and a QZOM34ADP at this size, but no J head. The Z head pairs with the 41-1/2 in QD4IN800A, which weighs about 11 lb. So if your M22 spec fits the X range, the Snap-on QXOM34A open end head keeps the kit far lighter. If it runs higher, move to the Z head and body.

SMK Vietnam lists this head, while Lost in HCM supplies it. Request a quote from Lost in HCM and state the nut standard, the spec and your X body. For more sizes, open torque wrench heads and adaptors, or contact SMK Vietnam.
34 mm X-head questions
Will a DIN 934 M22 nut fit the 34 mm jaw?
No. DIN 934 gives M22 a 32 mm hex. Use a 32 mm head for those nuts.
Can the QXOM34A tighten an ISO M22 bolt head?
Yes. ISO 4017 gives M22 bolts a 34 mm head. Keep the setting inside the confirmed head limit.
