Description
Most plant maintenance kits already hold 3/8-inch sockets and extensions. The Snap-on ATECH2CS240 torque wrench lets your team use them on light joints. It is a 3/8-inch drive TechAngle micro wrench that reads from 12 to 240 in-lb, or 1 to 20 ft-lb.

3/8-inch drive or 1/4-inch drive?
Snap-on offers the same 12 to 240 in-lb span on the 1/4-inch ATECH1FS240. So the choice comes down to the sockets you own and the space around each bolt. Pick the ATECH2CS240 when your extensions, crowfoots and deep sockets are 3/8-inch. On the other hand, pick the 1/4-inch model when the bolt sits in a narrow pocket.
Where the ATECH2CS240 earns its place
Snap-on points to close-clearance jobs such as valve covers. In a factory, similar work shows up on gearbox covers, pump housings, compressor heads and machine guards. For instance, a technician can save one preset per cover and then work round the bolt pattern without resetting. Because the screen shows a live value, the technician also sees when a gasket starts to give.

Daily care

Questions from maintenance teams
Can the ATECH2CS240 reach 20 ft-lb?
Yes. Its 12 to 240 in-lb range equals 1 to 20 ft-lb, so it tops out at 20 ft-lb.
Does it store presets?
Yes. Like other TechAngle wrenches, it keeps ten presets, so each cover or housing can have its own value.
Why are some specs missing here?
Snap-on gives different figures for gear teeth, length, battery and N·m range on this model. We left those out, so ask Lost in HCM to confirm them in the quote.
