Description
Some circuits only show their flaws at higher frequencies, where a slow source runs out of range. The Tektronix AFG1062 function generator reaches 60 MHz on two channels and samples arbitrary waveforms at 300 MS/s. Lost in HCM lists it for rental and sale, so a lab can match the quote to its test plan.

Sixty megahertz and 300 MS/s
This model sits in the AFG1000 series, the same family as the AFG1022. Its sine range runs from 1 µHz to 60 MHz, and the arbitrary engine samples at 300 MS/s with 14-bit resolution. As a result, fast edges and detailed shapes get more samples than a lower-rate source can give.
Amplitude changes above 25 MHz
Headline numbers can mislead, so read the amplitude spec carefully. Into 50 Ω, the output spans 1 mVpp to 10 Vpp up to 25 MHz. Above 25 MHz, the ceiling drops to 5 Vpp. So plan your drive level around the frequency you actually need.
Tektronix AFG1062 function generator at a glance
- Two channels, with 14-bit vertical resolution.
- Typical output impedance of 50 Ω.
- Arbitrary memory of 2 to 8,000 points, as listed in the current linked datasheet.
- Signal ground tied to chassis ground, so the output is not floating.
Typical bench jobs
The Tektronix AFG1062 function generator can inject repeatable signals while you evaluate filters, amplifiers and low-voltage electronic circuits. For example, you can sweep a filter on one channel and watch the response on a scope. Because the load setting changes the displayed voltage, set it before you enable the output.
A note on the photo
The picture on this page shows an AFG1000-series front panel that carries an AFG1022 label. Model labels and supplied accessories may differ, so treat it as a series reference. Still, the specifications here belong to the AFG1062.
Rent a unit or buy one
Rental of this generator suits a short project that needs 60 MHz for a few weeks. Purchase, however, suits a lab that uses the source every day. Either way, Lost in HCM confirms pricing, availability and any service arrangement individually.

AFG1062 questions
How does the amplitude limit change with frequency?
Into 50 Ω it is 1 mVpp to 10 Vpp up to 25 MHz, and 1 mVpp to 5 Vpp above 25 MHz.
What is the arbitrary sample rate?
It is 300 MS/s at 14-bit vertical resolution.
Does the photo show this exact model?
Not exactly. It shows an AFG1000-series panel labeled AFG1022.
