Description
A 60 mm nut on a long stud or a pipe often leaves no room for a socket. The Snap-on QZOM60ADP open end head solves that, because it slides onto the flats from the side. It then locks into a Z-shank torque wrench body, so you still tighten to a set value.

Bodies that take the QZOM60ADP
This head needs a body with a Z shank. On SMK Vietnam, that includes the QD4IN800A click body as well as the CTECH4Z600A, TECH4Z600 and CTLNK4Z600 electronic wrenches. However, each of those bodies reaches past 480 ft-lb at full scale. So keep your target at or below the head rating, even when the body allows more.
Does head length change the setting?
Snap-on gives 5.75 in from fastener center to pin for both QZOM open-end heads and QZD ratcheting heads. For its dual-range QD bodies, Snap-on says matched heads keep that spacing, so no adjustment calculations apply. ControlTech bodies also carry a built-in calibration factor for head length. With any other pairing, follow the body maker’s instructions.
Choosing the right 60 mm head
Snap-on makes the 60 mm opening in three shanks. For instance, the QYOM60A fits Y bodies with a 160 ft-lb rating, and the QXOM60A fits X bodies at 240 ft-lb. The Snap-on QZOM60ADP open end head, by contrast, carries the highest rating of the three. Therefore it suits the heaviest joints on presses, pumps and heavy equipment.
Care for the QZOM60ADP
Seat the head fully on the flats before you pull, because a partial grip can spread the jaws. Also keep the shank and pins clean, so the head locks squarely. Finally, never use the head and body to break fasteners loose, as Snap-on warns.
