Description
The Snap-on QZOM25ADP open end head fits a 25 mm hex to a Z-shank (0.990 in) wrench, and two pins lock it in place. So it makes sense for a team that already runs Z bodies and meets a high-spec 25 mm fitting.

Working window of the Snap-on QZOM25ADP open end head
CAT1500i rates this head at 275 ft-lb, and the UK brochure lists 3,295 in-lb for the 25 mm Z jaw, which is the same value. However, the only Z body in CAT1500i, the QD4IN800A, starts at 129 ft-lb. As a result, the QZOM25ADP works between 129 and 275 ft-lb on that body. For a lower spec, a Y or X head on a smaller wrench gives better control.
Measure first: 24, 25 or 26 mm
No ISO 4032 or DIN 934 bolt uses a 25 mm hex. The nearest standard size is the 24 mm hex on M16. Therefore, a 25 mm part is often a hydraulic fitting, an adapter or a special nut. Check it with a caliper, because a 24 mm hex inside the QZOM25ADP will slip. If it reads 24 mm, the QZOM24ADP fits instead.
Fit and clearance of the QZOM25ADP
- Opening: 25 mm.
- Width (O.D.): 52 mm.
- Head depth: 11 mm.
- Pin to fastener center: 5.75 in, so QD bodies need no correction.
Both Snap-on sources agree on these sizes. Also, the dual pins lock the jaw at two points, so wipe both before you insert it.
Jaw or ring for a 25 mm hex
The Z-shank ring head QZXM25ADP covers the same size. It measures 37 mm across and 16 mm deep, and it carries about 413 ft-lb. So the ring takes more load and less width. On the other hand, the open jaw slides on from the side, which the ring cannot do. Pick the Snap-on QZOM25ADP open end head when a tube or rod blocks access from above.
Lost in HCM supplies the Snap-on QZOM25ADP open end head
Request a QZOM25ADP quote from Lost in HCM, and list your Z body and the joint spec. SMK Vietnam only lists the part, and Lost in HCM handles supply. The ring version and other jaws appear in torque wrench heads and adaptors, and you can contact SMK Vietnam too.
Common questions about a 25 mm Z jaw
Can I torque a 25 mm fitting to 100 ft-lb with the QZOM25ADP?
Not on the QD4IN800A, since its scale starts at 129 ft-lb. Use a smaller shank and body for that spec.
Does the UK brochure list the QZOM25ADP?
It lists the QZOM25A with the same width, depth and rating. CAT1500i prints the DP number, so quote that one.
Which bolt uses a 25 mm hex?
None in ISO 4032 or DIN 934. A 25 mm hex usually belongs to a fitting or special nut.
