Description
Some wide nuts need only a gentle pull. A 32 mm union or lock collar on a pump skid is a good example. The Snap-on QJOM32 open end head covers that job on the J shank (0.425 in), the smallest Snap-on fitting. As a result, you keep a short, light wrench for a big hex.

QJOM32 figures from CAT1500i
| Item | QJOM32 |
|---|---|
| Opening | 32 mm |
| Shank | J (0.425 in) |
| Max working torque | 60 ft-lb (about 81 N·m) |
| O.D. | 65 mm |
| Head depth | 14 mm |
| Pin to fastener center | 2.50 in |
Note the part number has no A suffix. CAT1500i prints it as QJOM32, and the source packet agrees on every figure above.
Light specs on a wide hex
A 32 mm hex matches the M22 nut in DIN 934, while ISO 4032 uses 34 mm for M22. Steel M22 joints usually need far more than 60 ft-lb, so the QJOM32 suits other parts. For instance, think of brass unions, plastic pump fittings, sensor housings and large jam nuts on adjusters. In short, pick it when the spec is low but the hex is wide.
J bodies that pair with the Snap-on QJOM32 open end head
- QC2P75 preset, 5 to 75 ft-lb: set it at 60 ft-lb or less.
- QC2I75 adjustable, 5 to 75 ft-lb: also keep the dial at or under the head limit.
- QD2IN100A dual range, 20 to 100 N·m (16.6 to 71.9 ft-lb): its top end passes 60 ft-lb, so stop at about 81 N·m.
Snap-on supplies QD bodies with a calibration certificate, while QC bodies need a C suffix for one.
Clearance for a 65 mm head
The QJOM32 is small on the shank side, yet the head itself spans 65 mm. Therefore, check the gap beside the nut before you order. A 14 mm depth also needs enough hex land to bite on. If a hose sits close, try the swing path with a spanner of the same size first.
Heavier shanks at 32 mm
CAT1500i also lists the 32 mm jaw as QYOM32A, QXOM32A and QZOM32ADP. So if the QJOM32 limit falls short, move up a shank and change the body with it. Snap-on’s UK brochure prints different limits for those larger heads, so confirm them through Lost in HCM.
Getting the Snap-on QJOM32 open end head
Request a QJOM32 quote from Lost in HCM and name your J body plus the target torque. SMK Vietnam lists the head, while Lost in HCM supplies it. Other jaws sit under torque wrench heads and adaptors, and you can contact SMK Vietnam any time.
32 mm J-shank questions
Can the QJOM32 tighten a steel M22 bolt to spec?
Usually not. Its limit is 60 ft-lb, which suits low-spec parts such as unions and fittings rather than steel M22 joints.
Why does the part number lack the A suffix?
Snap-on prints it as QJOM32 in CAT1500i. Quote that exact number to avoid a mix-up.
Which J body reaches 60 ft-lb inside its scale?
The QC2P75, the QC2I75 and the QD2IN100A all cover 60 ft-lb.
