Description

A shared lab scope has to serve many people with different jobs. The Rigol MHO934 oscilloscope suits that role with 350 MHz of bandwidth, four analog channels and 12-bit native resolution. Lost in HCM lists it for rental and sale, so a team can borrow it for a project or buy it, and service is available on request.

MHO934 at a glance: three sample rates

Series MHO900
Analog bandwidth 350 MHz
Input channels 4 analog + 16 digital (optional PLA2216 probe required)
Sample rate 4 GSa/s single; 2 GSa/s half; 1 GSa/s all-channel
Standard memory 100/50/25 Mpts single/half/all-channel
Optional memory 500/250/125 Mpts
Waveform capture rate 30,000 wfms/s vector; up to 1,000,000 wfms/s fast recording
Vertical resolution 12 bit native; high-resolution acquisition available
Display 7-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen

Matching channels to speed

The sample rate falls as you switch on more channels. One active channel gets 4 GSa/s, two channels share 2 GSa/s, and all four share 1 GSa/s. Therefore, a fast single-channel edge and a slow four-rail check need different setups. Decide which job comes first, then choose the channel mode.

Who uses the Rigol MHO934 oscilloscope

Embedded engineers, test technicians and university labs all find it useful. For example, a technician can probe four sensor lines during a line check. An engineer can later switch to one channel and chase a fast glitch at the highest rate. Because the touchscreen is 7 inches wide, it also fits a crowded bench.

Memory and add-ons to confirm

Standard memory is 100/50/25 Mpts, depending on channel use. Optional memory raises that to 500/250/125 Mpts. In addition, the 16 digital inputs need the optional PLA2216 probe, and the listing shows a waveform generator as optional. As a result, you should name each add-on in your request.

Rent, buy or both

A short build or an audit week suits a rental. A lab that shares one scope among many users may prefer to own it. Lost in HCM supplies the unit and gives the quote, while SMK Vietnam only shows the listing.

MHO934 questions

Does it sample at 4 GSa/s on all four channels?

No. The 4 GSa/s rate applies to a single channel. All four channels together get 1 GSa/s.

Is the waveform generator built in?

It is optional in the listing, so confirm the installed configuration with Lost in HCM.

Is the photo my exact unit?

The photo shows the MHO900 family, so the marking may differ. The quote confirms the exact unit.
