At 20 V and ±800 A, the connections matter as much as the instrument. The Keysight RP7943A power system is a 10 kW regenerative DC system from the RP7900 family, fed by three-phase 400/480 VAC. It pushes current into a device and also absorbs it.
Where 800 A gets difficult
Large current makes cable size, polarity and remote sensing important because small errors grow quickly. For example, a thin or long lead can waste a large share of a 20 V output. Also follow the operating guide for DC cable sizing, interlocks and shutdown. Also plan a protected fixture between the system and your device under test. Start with conservative limits, then raise them while you watch both source and sink behavior.
