Half a kilovolt changes how you plan a test day. The Keysight N8943A DC power supply delivers up to 500 V or 30 A within a 5000 W limit, from three-phase 400 VAC. It belongs to the N8900 Series of autoranging systems, and Lost in HCM lists it for rental and sale.
Planning a 500 V test day
Start with a written plan, because high-voltage steps are hard to improvise. Record the startup voltage, the current limit, the output order and the dwell time. Then add the cooling plan and the pass-fail rule. As a result, a second engineer can repeat the run without a call to the first.
What the 5000 W budget allows
The two headline limits multiply to far more than the power rating. At 500 V, the current ceiling is therefore about 10 A, and at 300 V it is about 17 A. The full 30 A appears only at roughly 167 V or lower.
So a 500 V rail with a 20 A load does not fit. Check every operating point against the Keysight data sheet before you book.
