Why four-wire sense matters at 20 A
Current through a lead causes a voltage drop, and a 5 V rail has little spare margin. Four-wire remote sensing compensates for that drop at the device under test. Therefore the board sees the voltage you set, not the voltage left after the cable. So run the sense leads to the load terminals, and keep the power leads short and thick.
Programmable behavior for fixture tests
Adjustable slew rate, LIST mode, a data logger and arbitrary waveforms turn this supply into part of the test. For example, you can ramp a rail slowly during a start-up check, then log the current it draws. Keep in mind that commands need about 32 ms to process.
