Description
A mixed-signal board rarely runs from one rail. The Keysight E3646A power supply puts two outputs in one 60 W benchtop box, so a single unit can feed logic and analog sections. Lost in HCM lists it for rental and sale in Vietnam.

Two outputs, two ranges
Keysight lists a 0 to 8 V range at up to 3 A and a 0 to 20 V range at up to 1.5 A. The supply carries two outputs and a 60 W rating. Because that rating covers the whole unit, check the combined draw of both rails before you plug in. Then set a current limit on each output.
Putting both rails to work
- A 5 V logic rail beside a 12 V analog or fan rail.
- Two stages of a prototype that power up on separate lines.
- A board plus its external sensor, each on its own output.
- Teaching benches where one box replaces two supplies.
The front panel in the photo carries a Track key, which helps when two outputs must move together.
Mind the second output on the Keysight E3646A power supply
Keysight notes that output 2 has looser voltage accuracy than output 1. For this reason, put the more sensitive rail, such as a reference or sensor supply, on output 1. Meanwhile, output 2 suits loads that care less about the last few millivolts.
Remote control
Keysight’s page lists GPIB, and the rear panel in the photo also shows RS-232. In addition, the two screw-terminal blocks on the back give access to remote-sense wiring. So, tell Lost in HCM which interface your software uses.
Rent for a project, buy for a bench
Rent the unit when a project needs a second supply for a few weeks. Buy it when the pair of rails runs every day. Then request a quote from Lost in HCM for the Keysight E3646A power supply, with your voltage, current and delivery details. Compare it with other power supply listings, check the Keysight E3646A page, or contact SMK Vietnam with questions.
E3646A questions
How many outputs does the E3646A have?
Two. Keysight describes it as a dual-output supply with a 60 W rating.
Are both outputs equally accurate?
No. Keysight lists looser voltage accuracy on output 2, so put sensitive loads on output 1.
Can both outputs run at full current together?
Check the combined power. The 60 W rating covers the unit, so add up both loads first.
