Loads that need the extra current

Think of small motor drivers, LED arrays, relay banks and communication modules. These loads draw more than a bare logic board, so the extra current helps. For example, a 12 V module that needs 2 A fits the 20 V range with room to spare.

Can it run 20 V at 5 A?

No. That would be 100 W, and the unit is rated 50 W. At 20 V the limit is 2.5 A.
